In short

  • The public API lives at https://web.kringl.ai/api/v1 and speaks JSON. Endpoints, parameters and errors are on the API reference page.
  • A key is minted in the portal, on the API keys screen of your account. It is shown once and belongs to one member of the team.
  • What the Kringls do through the API is exactly what they do in the chat: the same conversation, the same credit, the same pull request.

What is here

Kringl is a team of Kringls, characters with a name and a role who do software work: Mark writes code, Pablo designs, Steve publishes to the stores. Most of the time you work with them in the chat, in the app at web.kringl.ai.

This documentation is for the moment the chat is not enough: a system of yours has to open a conversation by itself, send a message into an existing one, follow a run and be told when it is over. There is one API for all of that, and one document that describes it.

  • The API reference: keys and scopes, conventions, rate limits, sessions and runs, webhooks, and a complete end-to-end example.
  • Automation: how a task is born from a form, an email, WhatsApp or a TODO board, with no code at all.
  • The Market: the services Kringl connects to sites and apps.

Getting started

  • Sign in to the portal at web.kringl.ai with your own user.
  • On the API keys screen click new key, name it and copy it. It is shown only once.
  • Send a first call: GET /api/v1/me with the key in an Authorization: Bearer header. The answer says who you are and in which workspace.
  • Go on to sessions and runs.

A key is a password. Keep it in a vault or in the environment of your server, never in code, never in a commit, never in a user's browser.
